I am constantly thinking of new ideas and looking around me at what people are wearing, the current trends and what I feel will stand the test of time.
My new “thing” is for Trinity Brass Co. goodies. I can’t remember where I first saw this but I know that as soon as I did, I knew it was a great look. I’ve been fortunate enough to find a wonderful source of bits and pieces (Thanks Gloria!) and am looking forward to my second delivery of pieces today.

What is it? I hear you ask, well Trinity Brass Co. is a USA based company offering uniquely beautiful and elegant brass jewellery making findings exclusively to retailers like www.dichro-findings.co.uk . Their goal is to provide the highest quality brass findings available to help designers create quality jewellery.

One of the founders of Trinity Brass Co. has been in the jewellery industry since 1994. She’s a self taught jewellery designer specialising in Victorian, Art Deco and Art Nouveau designs. Her jewellery business began as a hobby and grew into a full time jewellery design business. This extensive jewellery line was sold in boutiques, clothing stores and department stores throughout the US and to the trade at International Gift Shows. Many of her jewellery designs have been featured on the cover of romance novels. Now retired from her jewellery making business, she focuses on searching for the best quality brass products for Trinity Brass Co. customers. With her experience as a designer she knows how important it is to have quality brass findings to create designer quality jewellery.

A similar style is Steampunk, which is a mix of modern and antique styles. The antique side is styles taken from the wonderful age of steam, typically the Victorian era and the punk side, well I think you can work that out for yourself. Much of it takes its inspiration from old fashioned fob watches, something that I’ve had a fascination with for many years, taking the individual components and turning them into fabulously futuristic yet gothic styles. Take a look and let me know what you think……

Credit to Gloria at www.dichro-findings.co.uk for her wonderful knowledge on this subject!

Well, I’ve been invited to take part in the Sue Ryder Big Wig’s Challenge. This is where my team have been given £50 and have until 2nd July to turn this into as much as possible for Sue Ryder’s Leckhampton Hospice.

My absolute first thought was – OK, I’ll sell the Swarovski crystal heart necklaces at normal price of £12 but for each one sold, £5 will go to Sue Ryder. This way, the costs are covered, just… My aim purely from this is to raise £500 – that means 100 necklaces! Now personally I think that a lot more than 100 could be sold, well they are beautiful necklaces, timeless, classic yet modern and suit everyone. Think of one for yourself or maybe a lovely birthday present for a friend, sister, aunt, niece. Just think you won’t even need to wrap it as each piece comes wrapped in pink sparkly tissue paper inside a pink voile bag (and a nice little chocolate to finish it off!).

So please help me to help Sue Ryder!

Thank you.
